You Capture: Animals

I just found the You Capture Challenge and thought, "This will be a great way to break back into blogging without sitting down for a long time (like I need to) to document the wonderful vacation we just returned from.

The theme this week is animals.  We have one pet, Daisy.  She is a wonderful dog but as you may be able to tell from the pictures, she is still a bit upset with me for leaving her in AZ while the rest of us journeyed to Colorado for a break from the heat.

I sat down by her and casually tried to get her attention.  I knew if I tried too hard that she would be in my lap instead of in the view of my camera!  She made it well known that she was still angry and NOT in the mood to pose for any pictures, I took them anyway.  I'm pretty sure she won't sue me for it.

After a while my toddler noticed that I was trying to "Capture" my dog.  She came over and showed me how good she was at capturing Daisy.

Daisy was still unmoved.
 Daisy was still upset.
Gracie was not dissuaded.   She literally crawled into Daisy's "lap", turned around, looked at my camera and said, "Cheeeeeeese."

I think Daisy went from being mad to being scared pretty quickly and was wondering why she ever missed us to begin with.
Gracie kept posing, so I kept clicking.
I did steal her pacifier, but other than that, she did ALL the posing.
I think that Daisy is still upset with us.
But, at least she knows that she is loved.
Well loved.

I hope to let you all know about our wonderful vacation soon!

  1. Poor Daisy! You can almost see the pain of abandonment in her eyes. But I'm sure that with Gracie's help she'll be back to herself soon.
