Simplicity: SOOC

This photo challenge was extremely hard for me!  SOOC stands for straight out of the camera and it made me realize just how much I rely on editing!  Not just that I rely on it but that I photograph anticipating it.  For example, I purposefully underexpose backgrounds and leave extra room for cropping because I know that when I'm editing, those things will give me lead way to accomplish what I want.  This isn't something that is new to me with digital, I was trained to do it with film.  I photographed in a way that would work best for my darkroom style.  It's just carried over into digital.   Anyway, after looking through a few folders and finding nothing that I love SOOC, I decided to just pick an image.  Here it is.  I'm hoping the sweetness factor will overcome the lack of a finished look!  You should know, it's killing me to leave this un-cropped!  Thank you for the eye-opening challenge Faith.
