Sneak Peek

 Is there such a thing as a family beauty contest?  You know, one where the whole family would compete?  If so, this family that you are about to see would win hands down!  They are gorgeous inside and out.  I love this family.  They are the kind of family that you just want to spend time with and be around, the kind of family that you want to be adopted into.  Full of love, fun, creativity and adventure they would definitely be fierce competition in any family beauty contest.

Sneak Peek

 I had a hard time narrowing the images from this session down for the Sneak Peek because there were so many different poses and groupings that I really like!  What a fun, big, beautiful family!  Unfortunately, not everyone could make it to the session so we improvised by doing pictures of smaller family groupings that would make sense on the wall next to images of the grown kids who couldn't be there.

I found out early on that "Dad" and I had differing opinions of the "proper facial expression for a family portrait".  I actually know this family so I felt/feel the liberty to tease him a bit.  I hope that feeling is right.

This guy was a trooper.  He couldn't even talk because of his lost voice but he posed willingly none the less.  Thank you!

Finally!!!!  A real smile from Dad.  I wish I would have figured out earlier that all I had to do was get his wife a little closer to him.  Oh well, next time.

Sneak Peek

When this couple met, she was Marvin's girl.  But he was patient, and he honed his way in.  He started hanging out with the two of them and eventually, he won her heart.

She's actually still Marvin's girl.  Judging by his facial expression, the jury is still out on how Marvin feels about this whole love triangle.  Marvin, by the way, is the horse.

Just kidding.   I'm about 90% sure that Marvin's little sneer is directed at me and my camera.

 

I had a wonderful time photographing this fun couple and I am looking forward to photographing their wedding next year.  Congratulations you two!!!  Enjoy.

I have to add one little tidbit about this jumping picture.  I had it up on the screen when my five year old noticed it.  She ran over to the computer and stammered in her excitement, "Mama!  She's, she's... It's a miracle!!!!!"  I had to explain to my daughter that "the lady" was in fact just jumping and frozen in air only by the camera.  Needless to say, this evening we took some pictures of my daughter jumping.

Sneak Peek

Yay!  I'm ready to post the Sneak Peek for the second family that I photographed last Saturday!  I love this family, that pretty much sums it up.  The parents are amazing and the kids are so full of fun and personality, what's not to love.  I hope you enjoy these pictures from our latest session.

Okay, I'm not too proud to admit that I didn't get these great smiles from the kids by myself.  Since my five year old was there with us, I enlisted her help.  It's not child labor if they are just goofing off dancing around and blowing raspberries, right?

This is my favorite picture of the kids.  I love Sister's pouty face.  I think the next image will probably be their mother's favorite.

Dad's can also be pretty entertaining.

And now for some sweetness.

This is the face the dad gave me when I asked if they were planning on having eight more kids.

 Four little ones and still looking so young and relaxed.  Of course, their kids were being entertained by a friend at the time.

I love this one and it wasn't even technically part of the session.  We ran over to a Bagel shop afterwards to reward the kids with some cookies.  This is Sister looking out the car window at my kiddos while her mom was inside buying cookies.  I added the texture to hide the car door and her dad in the background.
