Quinceañera Sneak Peek

I recently had the honor of photographing my first Quiñceanera!  It was so much fun.  I love getting to celebrate with families and document their historical moments.  The Quinceañera herself is a beautiful girl full of life and surrounded by a loving family and friends.  Here are some pictures from her day.

Like I said, she's beautiful!

I loved how much fun she had with her mom.

The ceremony took place at a hotel and was called a scripture service as opposed to a mass.  It was very honoring and the deacon emphasized the importance of family and maintaining close relationships with them.  He was also hilarious and had everyone laughing!

This is our Quinceañera's younger brother.  Part of the ceremony illustrated different points in the Quiñceanera's life by having family members come to the front holding a symbol for that stage of life.  Her brother was not thrilled that he was to carry a doll down the aisle.  Nevertheless, he did it for his sister with a smile on his face.

Before the father/daughter dance, the father changes his daughter's shoes.

Now the dancing has begun!

This image shows how much fun our portrait booth can be!  The photographer pictured is my friend Detrick of LLV Photography in Tucson.

Any guesses on what song is playing here?

Knowing that I was to photograph a Quinceañera, I assumed that the dance floor would be dominated by teens.  I was so wrong!   This Grandpa and Grandma along with some Aunts and Uncles may have out danced the youngsters!

The happy parents!

The day ended with one final parents dance.

Thank you again for choosing In the Light Photography.  I had a wonderful time photographing your special day!
